Once you're all logged in you can set up a profile for yourself.

Click on the profile option in the upper right and it will take you to the screen where you can start editing your profile. Some things you'll be able to change and others you won't but you can add a bio about yourself and your website information.

Please note that if you're adding contact information for any of the social media sites you DO NOT need to add the website in, it will automatically be added. For example in the facebook field you only need to add your username like jessica.capturelife not the full http://www.facebook.com/jessic…..apturelife, if you use the full address you'll actually end up with a link that looks like http://www.facebook.com/www.fa…..apturelife and no one will be able to click on it and get to the right place.

And finally you can create a signature for yourself. This will show up at the bottom of any post you write and it’s common on photography forum to showcase either your favorite photo or a listing of all your gear.

You can do whatever you’d like on this forum, show a photo, a favorite quote or dazzle us all with an impressive list of gear (or maybe just a wishlist )

To create your signature, when you’re in the profile screen, click on the last option that says set up your signature. This will give you a window to type in or add photos.

To add a photo click on the square icon that looks like a picture of a tree, this will then pull up a place where you can insert the url of the image you want to use. You have the option to host your photo elsewhere to add it to your signature, you can use sites like flickr, photobucket, or even facebook to get the url to your photo. Once you have the photo uploaded to a site make sure you are supplying the url to ONLY the image and not the page the image is on. Depending on your browser you should be able to right click on the image you want to use and choose view image this will open the image in a new window and give you the direct link url to the image.

Or you can click on the little file/magnifying glass photo next to the url box and upload an image to the site, if you're going this route PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not upload large full resolution files. Please downsize them to something manageable and web friendly (72ppi) as to not fill up all the space on my server :)
